Melos Foundation was inspired by the childhood journey of Melos Liyuneh.
As her family navigated the questions and uncertainties that come with a visible skin difference, they began to recognise something much larger than one family's experience.
Around the world, children who look different can experience misunderstanding, staring, teasing, bullying, isolation, misinformation, or pressure to hide what makes them different.
But difference should never become a limitation placed on a child's future.
From Melos's story grew a greater vision: a world where children are supported to understand their worth, embrace their identity, develop confidence, participate fully in society, and pursue their dreams.
